If you only want to search the database or read the battle summaries and view images, you don't need to register.   However if you have information about a servicemember and would like us to have that, we ask that you register.   It takes only about 30 seconds and requires only a name and email address.  

After you register you can:

1.   Claim a servicemember as a family member or friend.   (Most of the names have been uploaded without any connection to someone living)   If you find a family member or friend here and the listing is not already being maintained by someone, click Claim to become the contact for that solider.

2.   Fnd others that you may have known and add them to your known list

3.   Make comments about other soliders that you may have known

4.   Contact the person who is connected to the servicemember.    (This only works when others have claimed the listing)

5.   If you don't find a servicemember here that was involved in Iwo Jima, you can add them (you must be logged in to do this)
