Technology Used by This Site IwoJimaHistory runs on a server located at a data center near Atlanta, GA supported by APIN.COM from Dexter, Michigan and IBCNET from Romania, The server runs CentOS (a type of Linux) and uses Joomla as the content management system . The database that holds names is called Mosets Tree, produced by Mosets Consulting (Mosets) a tiny company founded by Lee Cher Yeong in 2004. It started with the first Property Management System called Hot Property. It proved to be an instant hit with realtors who find Hot Property easy to use without any programming knowledge. Mosets other product called Mosets Tree which helps webmasters create any type of directory . The recently release Mosets Tree 2.0 brings it to a whole new level by allowing the creation of unlimited number of custom fields, installable field types, templates and many more. Mosets Tree is the extensions that powers the Joomla Extensions Directory which is used by thousands of people everyday.
Mosets is based in Malaysia - a tropical country with great food and nice beaches. Mosets has another team Member - Alex who is an expert with Joomla! and Mosets extensions. Initial data conversion and ongoing maintenance is provided by a group of high school students (KASEMODEL.COM), located in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
