Iwo Jima 1:12000 – This map is a new map product (revised in 2005) depicting Iwo Jima as it existed at the end of the days fighting on 19 February, 1945. It shows which Marine assault elements crossed which beaches in the initial attack of the island along with where each unit that participated in the initial assault was when they consolidated their position for the night. The base map is a composite of several maps produced before, during and after the attack. The Japanese defenses displayed on the map are based on once again multiple reports of the Japanese defenses based on an actual ground study that was conducted during and after the battle. A paper copy of this map can be purchased by following the "Purchase Maps/CDs" link on the left hand menu. View this map

Anti-Aircraft Defenses – This map was produced after the battle as part of the documentation of the Japanese defenses on the island. It was published at a scale of 1:20000, and details only the Japanese anti-aircraft defenses. View this map
